Tumlingtar is a town in Nepal's eastern region, in the Sankhuwasabha district. It is a modest and charming town known for its natural beauty and walking paths. The Makalu Base Camp Trek, which begins in Tumlingtar and takes tourists through some of the most spectacular vistas in the region, includes lush woods, steep terrain, and gorgeous valleys.
•         Distance: Approximately 490 kilometers by road or 45 minutes by air.
•         Transportation: By road, the journey takes about 12-14 hours by private car or bus. Alternatively, you can take a domestic flight which takes around 45 minutes.
•         Attractions: In Tumlingtar, you can explore the Makalu Barun National Park, the Arun Valley, and the local Sherpa villages. You can also go on trekking and hiking adventures.
•         Accommodation: There are limited accommodation options available in Tumlingtar, ranging from basic lodges to guesthouses.
•         Climate:
Summer (June to August): 25°C to 35°C.
Autumn (September to November): 10°C to 25°C.
Winter (December to February): 0°C to 15°C.
Spring (March to May): 20°C to 30°C.
