Pilot Baba is the name of a guru who quit his job as a pilot to find genuine peace after experiencing the effects of war and human struggle. An ashram is a sanctuary or sacred spot, and Pilot Baba’s ashram is located in Kathmandu’s southwestern area, on a lovely hill with vast views of the Kathmandu Valley. The trek to the top of the hill is rewarded with a spectacular view of nature. It is bordered by babbling brooks and shrub-like plants such as needle-wood, Rhododendron, and Sal trees.
